Pothole Policy

POTHOLE / DAMAGED PROPERTY & DOWNED TREE POLICY

POTHOLES:

• All potholes on Town roads should be reported via email to [email protected] immediately by either a resident, non-resident, employee or public safety personnel.  If a pothole is spotted after hours on an evening or weekend, please call the Police Department non-emergency line at 508-866-2000.

• The Deputy Director or their designee will inspect the reported pothole.

• Operations & Maintenance Department will keep a log of all reported potholes, including date reported and date repaired.

• The Town is not responsible for damage caused to vehicles from potholes or washouts that have not been reported.

• If you have property or auto damage, you must go through your insurance carrier to follow the appropriate process.  The Town will not settle any claims directly.

DOWNED TREES/DEBRIS:

          *During weather events, trees and debris can come down into the roadway.  if you see a downed tree, branch or debris impeding the roadway please report to our department at 508-866-3425 and if on an evening or weekend, please call teh Police Department non-emergency line at 508-866-2000.  

         *The Town is not responsible for damage sustained to personal property or autos.  Drivers are anticipated to drive with caution after a storm and avoid any debris, etc.  Insurance claims must go through your insurance and follow the appropriate process.  The Town will not settle claims directly.
