Hazardous Waste Days are typically held in the spring and the fall and sponsored by the Town of Wareham.  You will need a valid transfer station sticker to participate.  Oil based paints & stains should be brought to a Hazardous Waste Day.  Latex paint is not considered hazardous waste.  It may be dried out and disposed of with your household trash.

For large household items not accepted at the transfer station or by your private hauler, New Bedford Waste Services may take them for a fee.  Click here for what they accept and pricing:  https://www.carverma.gov/board-health/files/new-bedford-waste   You can also check with the Bridgewater Transfer Station:  https://www.bridgewaterma.org/176/Solid-Waste-Transfer-Station
