Given recent growth, and continued demand for housing, the work will include a reassessment of economic development priorities, identification key sites, and challenges associated with their development will assist in the further managed commercial build-out of the town. Economic development in Carver should also modernize the agricultural industry. Through cranberry farming and other activities have diminished over the last decade, it remains a defining character of the community. As such, the economic development plan will consider ways in which the town's policies can support agrotourism and the diversification of agricultural activities as they become part of an entertainment and lifestyle choice. The Committee will consider the development of Key Sites in town, consider high and low-end scenario development upon the town's greatest opportunity sites and develop recommendations and strategies to implement the plan.
