Penalty for all Returned Payments to Town Effective 11/7/16

Penalty Imposed for all Payments Returned as UNPAID
Beginning November 7, 2016, a fee of $25.00, or 1% of the amount of the payment if more than $2,500.00, will be imposed on any returned item, including, but not limited to, insufficient funds, stop payments, closed or wrong account information, that is presented to the Town of Carver or any Town entity, in the form of a check or electronic payment as payment for local taxes, fees or charges. This penalty is due to the additional labor costs to process returned items.
