Q: Will my medications be withheld if I am unable to pay the required copayment?

NO. Medications prescribed will be issued regardless of your ability to make a copayment if you are unable to make a copayment when you receive the prescribed medications, an account will be established for you at the hospital. VA will pursue collection of the amount you owe, but will not withhold future medications if payment is not received. If you are unable to make full payment immediately, you may discuss a repayment plan with your MCCR Coordinator or Fical Officer. You may also request a waiver fo your medication copayment.
