MassDOT Schedules Roadway Reconstruction Operations on East Street and Pine Street

Work will take place weekdays from 6 a.m. through 5:30 p.m. for four weeks and will require a detour

CARVER/MIDDLEBOROUGH - The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is announcing that it will be performing full depth roadway reconstruction work on East Street and on Pine Street.  The work is scheduled to begin on Monday, June 15, and is anticipated to be completed in four weeks.  The work will require the closure of East and Pine Streets, on weekdays from 6:00 a.m. through 5:30 p.m., to facilitate construction activities.

A detour will be in place using Beach Street. Police details and flaggers will be used, as needed for traffic control.

The reconstruction operations are part of the Carver-Middleborough Rochester Road Bridge Replacement Project.

Drivers who are traveling through the affected areas should expect delays, reduce speed, and use caution. 

All scheduled work is weather dependent and/or may be impacted due to an emergency situation.
